I was deeply captured by Align T-REX 500E Super Combo when catching the first sight. The white blade, white canopy as well as white skid landing, of all which makes the 3D helicopter quite sticking flying at high altitude. Particularly, the white canopy with a little red and blue endows the copter with higher appreciation. Meanwhile, pilots can better identify flying direction to avoid crashing.
Framed by high-strength 3K carbon fiber canopy, Align T-REX 500E looks pretty streamlined with 634mm in length, 111mm in width and 224mm in height. Simple and light weight design provides awesome flight performance and extreme 3D movements. Direction-to-swash CCPM linkage ensures more direction and precise control feel. From its flank, the helicopter is of super low CG, which results in stronger resistance to the wind.
Generally, the helicopter is remarkably stable and smooth in rising, descending, moving forward and backward, turning left and right. Let alone, Align T-REX 500E is capable of aerobatics such as hovering, rolling, 360º rotating, flipping, crabbing, vertical flying as well as inverted flying. In addition, the 6CH helicopter can concurrently reach two or three stunts. For instance, vertical flying, 360º rotating, flipping allows to carry out simultaneously.
Actually, single-rotor helicopter is not easy for beginners, but flybar helicopter like Align T-REX 500E could be a nice choice. The heavy weight on each end if the flybar will works as a mechanical gyro to keep helicopter stable. Of course, flybar helicopter is more or less flawed in 3D stunts. Just by changing the placement from 90º to 45º, then agile and smooth flights are easily reached even if you’re entry-level hobbyists.
For sake of its size, you’d better fly Align T-REX 500E outdoor or somewhere there is very wide space. The fiberglass canopy of high toughness possesses no electricity conduction, thus there is very less chance of self-explosion when inner parts contact with the canopy. What’s more, the landing skid made by carbon fiber can decrease impact when it lands. Have nice flight!
